Did Nicki Minaj fake her wardrobe malfunction at the Video Music Awards?

According to reports,Nicki Minaj faked her wardrobe malfunction at the VMAs during her 'Bang Bang' performance,even though she claimed she didn't have enough time to zip up her dress.It is generally believed that it was just another publicity stunt by the star.
She was reportedly spotted awkwardly holding that very same dress together during a rehearsal before the show.

Did Nicki just totally pull one over on us or was it an innocent mistake?
