'The Avengers' Breaks Box office Record Worldwide


    "The Avengers" proving that five super heroes are better than one,smashed into theaters with a record breaking $200.3 million in ticket sales over the weekend. 
      'The lucky one' and the 'the five year engagement' finished second and third place with $5.5 and $5.1 M respectively.
    'The Raven' and 'the three stooges" completed the top five with $2.5M and $1.8M respectively
   'The Avengers' has set a new bar at the domestic box office, the largest debut ever and kicking of summer 2012 in high style.
  The movie which unites  Marvel comic book heroes Iron Man, Thor, The Hulk and others in a battle to save the planet.marking a major victory for Disney and Marvel Studios easily dethroned Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, which opened to $169.2 million last summer, then the largest number in history
    Among other records, 'Avengers' is the first film in history to cross $200 million in only three days of play at the domestic box office. It also scored the biggest Saturday gross of all time in earning $69.7 million.
    The worldwide total for "Avengers," produced by Disney's Marvel unit, reached $641.8 million since the movie opened in international markets on April 25. 'Avengers' is now positioned to reach $1 billion in global grosses.
