Steve Harvey to retire from stand-up comedy in 2012


      Radio host and long-time stand-up  comedian Steve Harvey has  announced on his syndicated “Steve Harvey Morning Show” that he plans to retire from doing stand-up in 2012
    According to eurWeb, Harvey broke the news to listeners after reading an e-mail from a fan who said they had heard rumors that he was leaving his radio show. 
   “This is my Jamaican background,” Harvey joked, according to EUR Web. “I don’t quit no job. No, sir. That's not me.” 

   Harvey explained that his last stand-up performance will be at next year's Hoodie Awards.The past year has been a good one for steve, his best-selling novel “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man” went into film production in July for an April 2012 release. The film's star-studded lineup includes Taraji P. Henson, Regina Hall, Kevin Hart and Michael Ealy. 

     Harvey also has plans to premiere his own daytime talk show on NBC.
