Amy Winehouse's Back to Black dress sold for £43,200 at auction

The dress that Amy Winehouse wore on the front cover of her 'Back To Black' album has been sold for £43,200 at an auction in London.

The BBC reports that the printed chiffon dress, which was made by fashion designer Disaya Sorakraikitikul, was purchased by the Chilean fashion museum Museo de la Moda at La Galleria yesterday (November 29) for more than twice the £20,000 it was expected to fetch

Sorakraikitikul donated the proceeds of the sale to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, the charity set up by the late singer's family in July to honour her memory.
Winehouse's father Mitch said he was "over the moon" that the designer, Disaya, donated the proceeds to a foundation set up in her memory.

The 27-year-old singer was found dead at her flat in Camden in July.
